See http://std.dkuug.dk/jtc1/sc2/wg2/docs/n3110.pdf — NOTE: The same construction principle applies to the "star" found on telephone keypads, according to the standard ITU-T E.161 of the International Telecommunication Union, but additionally there the thickness of the arms is specified. Thus, a special form of this symbol is also used in telephohy-related articles.
