Summary

Description
English: F-6 (MIG-19 Sr no 1825) on display near Officer's mess at Pakistan Air Force Air Headquarters. The historical significance of this particular serial number: On 10-11 December 1971 it was being flown by Flight Lieutenant Amer Ali Sharif when his formation came across 4 Indian MiG-21s over Shakargarh. Amer managed to outmaneuver one and launched AIM-9B Sidewinder, MiG-21 was seen to be flaming but kill was not confirmed due to fact that area was occupied by Indian troops at the time.[1]
