Summary

Description
English: Shot holes in one of the stones in Hoarstones stone circle. These "shot holes" in one of the stones comprising the Hoarstones stone circle would have been drilled by local lead miners in the 19th century. There were several mines nearby and perhaps they used this stone to practice making holes to take explosive, as they would underground.
