English: St Mary's Church, Shelton, Norfolk - Chest tomb on south side of altar, viewed from south, monument to w:Sir John Shelton (1476/7 – 1539), High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1504, made Knight of the Bath at the Coronation of Henry VIII. He married Anne Boleyn, a daughter of Sir William Boleyn of Blickling Hall in Norfolk, and died December 21st, 1539, aged 62. His wife was sister and co-heiress of Thomas Boleyn, Earl of Wiltshire, 1st Earl of Ormond (c.1477-1539), born in about 1477 at Blickling Hall in Norfolk, the son of Sir William Boleyn (1451–1505) of Blickling (purchased by Sir William's father Sir Geoffrey Boleyn, a wealthy mercer who served as Lord Mayor of London) by his wife Lady Margaret Butler (1454–1539), a daughter and co-heiress of Thomas Butler, 7th Earl of Ormond.
