There's not very many of these Optare MetroRiders still around, but I was fortunate to spot this example, T272EWW operated by the Port of Poole as their B08. As you can see, it's step entrance, which contributed to its early withdrawal with many operators. You can't see this bus from public land, as it exclusively shuttles foot passengers for Poole ferries. This photo was taken from the outside deck of HSC Condor Vitesse, soon bound for the Channel Islands. Can anyone tell me any more information about this vehicle? |
