Summary

Description
English: The third CGI of TCF21 contains a promoter that directs transcription of TARID (a lncRNA) in antisense orientation to TCF21. TARID then induces TET protein-dependent DNA demethylation, thus activating TCF21 transcription. This mechanism is regulated by the binding of TARID to the TCF21 promoter, which recruits GADD45A/TDG to direct BER for demethylation.
