English: Site of Talgarth railway station Viewed across the A479, which here follows the route of the dismantled railway adjacent to the location of the demolished Talgarth railway station, where passenger services ended in 1962. Both houses have a railway connection name. On the left is The Sidings. On the right is Cambrian House (in Station Yard.) Talgarth railway station was originally part of the Cambrian Railway company which was absorbed by the Great Western Railway (GWR) on January 1st 1923 as part of the Grouping, a result of the Railways Act 1921. |
