Summary[edit]

Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description An image of Terrible Ted (a wrestling bear) in a mock battle pose with his trainer/manager Dave McKigney. Autographed by "Gene DuBois", a ring name of McKigney's.
Author or
copyright owner
Unsure of photographer. Promotional photo, I'd assume rights belonged to Dave McKigney (deceased).
Source (WP:NFCC#4) Original publication: Seems to be a promotional photo, likely widely distributed, used for autographing.

Immediate source: http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/pictures/t/terribleted/01.jpg

Date of publication Unsure, probably 1960s.
Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Terrible Ted (bear)
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) Visual identification of the person in question, at the top of his biographical article.
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
The man in this photo died in July 1988, the bear probably around July 1978. Both are central to the article this will be used in. Other images I've found do not clearly feature them both. This image, seemingly a promotional postcard, may in fact be public domain. I just don't know.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) This is a small image, used in one place in one article.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
The likely owner of the image itself is Dave McKigney, who is deceased and has no commercial opportunities. I am unsure of the owner of the autographed copy, though I can't see how he/she would have any interest at risk by use here.
Other information The subject of the photograph has been deceased since: Unsure, though evidence suggests 1978 for Ted. July 1988 for McKigney.
