Description
English: Arms of Tennant of Chapel House (in the parish of Kilnsey, Yorkshire): Ermine, two bars each per pale gules and sable charged with three bezants two and one (Burke's Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Landed Gentry, 15th Edition, ed. Pirie-Gordon, H., London, 1937, pp.2217-8, pedigree of Tennant of Chapel House). The mural monument to the Tennant family in St Mary's Church, Conistone, shows the bars as per pale sable and gules (see image[1])
