Summary

Description
English: The Coach House, Main Street, Burton-in-Kendal. This is divided into three houses. It was built in the late 18C of limestone with sandstone dressings. These include window surrounds, quoins at the corners, a pediment over the central windows and a string course over the ground floor. The buildings has a hipped roof of green slates. The design is rather odd; the ensemble of first floor windows in a frame with a pediment looks as if it ought to be higher up.
