Summary

Description
English: Tyler Village, located at 3615 Superior Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.

The first structures here were originally erected in 1913 by the W.S. Tyler Co., manufacturer of specialty wire products and elevator cabs. From the 1890s to the 1940s, the firm constructed 24 buildings containting a total of 1 million square feet of space on a 10-acre site. Skywalks connected many of the buildings; the complex straddled 36th Street..

Tyler Co. slowly shrank in the 1950s and 1960s, and vacated most of the complex in 1962. The building was sold to Combustion Industries in 1968. The small elevator cab fabrication subsidiary moved out in 1984.

Real estate developer Anthony Asher purchased part of the complex in 1975, and the remainder in 1978. converted to condominiums, while the rest was renovated into smaller spaces for light industry. He renamed the complex Downtown Cleveland Industrial Park.

Asher sold the property to his sons in the 1990s, but then bought it back in 2005 via his Greystone Commercial Real Estate company. Since then, several buildings were demolished to create parking space, while the others have been refurbished into retail and light industry space. Businesses located there include nonprofits, several handcrafted furniture companies, artist lofts, a bus and boat charter company, a soda pop manufacturer, a ballet studio, a moving company, several I.T. firms, a vinyl record pressing plant, management firms, start-up biotech and pharmaceutical labs, and three charter schools.
