Summary

Description
English: NH 101581 Daiquiri (American Motor Boat, 1917) Anchored in a harbor, prior to her World War I Navy service. Known initially as Herreshoff Hull 317, this pleasure craft was taken over by the Navy on 17 September 1917 and placed in commission as USS Daiquiri (SP-1285) on 2 October 1917. She was sold on 10 March 1920. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM. U.S. Naval Historical Center Photograph; Photo #: NH 101581
