Summary

Description
English: Utowana (American Trawler, ex-Yacht, 1891), U.S. Naval Historical Center Photograph. In port, probably shortly after she was converted from a yacht to a trawler in 1917. This vessel was acquired by the U.S. Navy on 14 July 1917, commissioned as USS Utowana (SP-951) on 30 October 1917, stricken on 27 September 1919 and sold on 13 September 1920. Note the "C" funnel marking of her owner, the Commonwealth Fisheries Company of Boston, Massachusetts.
