Summary

Description
English: Field of a positive and a negative point charge with finite distance, constituting a finite-sized dipole. The shape of the field lines is accurately computed. The density of lines is a compromise to approximate the field strength close to the charges and far away, which cannot be exactly achieved with a fixed set of lines. The electric potential is shown by the background color, where yellow is neutral, together with uniformely spaced equipotential lines.
