Photo of an old secondary electron multiplier with discrete dynodes of "venetian blind" type. The entrance is at the left. The resistors (brown) for the dynode voltages are visible at the right side of the white ceramic tube at the top. The multiplier was used as detector in an electron spectrometer.

Foto eines Sekundärelektronenvervielfachers mit diskreten Dynoden (Jalousie-Typ). Die Eintrittsöffnung für die Elektronen ist links. Rechts neben dem oberen Keramikrohr (weiß) sind die Widerstände (braun) zu sehen; diese bilden einen Spannungsteiler für die Dynodenspannungen. Der Sekundärelektronenvervielfacher war Detektor in einem Elektronenspektrometer.
