This is the logo owned by successor Norfolk Southern Railroad may own the residual copyright, not sure. for identifying herald of this defunct railroad company.. It is a historical logo. Its historical usage is as follows: used by the Wabash RR from 18?? to 1964 when it was leased by the Norfolk & Western, now Norfolk Southern, which bought the Wabash in 1991 and merged it into NS.. Further details: Wabash herald cropped, and brightened by me from front cover of Wabash timetable (Dec. 12, 1938) displayed on Passenger Railroad Index at http://www.r2parks.net/wabash38.JPG. |
