Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) To display the Xerox Star 8010 workstation which introduced the first commercial GUI. The image illustrates some of the components of a WIMP interface that were already available in this early environment, such as tiled windows, button bars, scroll bars, and computer graphics with several shades of gray. This image allows the reader to get an impression of what it was like to work with the device, in a way that merely reading the list of functions would not.
