Summary

Description
English: The Silver Football was a prize contested by the best footballteams in The Netherlands between 1901 and 1954. It was regarded as the unofficial opening of the dutch footballseason and was held in high regard. In many years it had a higher standing than the official dutch FA Cup. The team that won it three years in a row or five times in total got to keep the original trophy. HVV from The Hague won the first three tournaments in succession so another trophy had to be commissioned. This is the second trophy, finally won bij HBS from The Hague when it won their fifth title in 1924.
