Painted over[edit]

The description page says "Despite attempts to save it this piece is no longer there. The only difference the public support made was that it was painted over (in March 2009), as opposed to removed". I declare a conflict of interest on this point as one of only four people whose opinion decided the matter (and the only one to favour keeping it) but I have to say there was no great public clamour, no deluge of correspondence, and not one single member of the public in the public gallery at the time the decision was taken. It's just possible there might have been a different decision if there had been, but no-one seemed to notice. Sam Blacketer (talk) 21:37, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
