I am currently revising and cleaning up the Cloud computing article. In this context, I would like to replace this picture with a new one:

Reasons:

  • Today, the terms SaaS, PaaS, IaaS are preeminent and should be well visible.
  • IMHO, the servers are not a separate layer but are part of the main cloud layer above. Unless you have good references where the server layer is described as a separate layer.
  • I have added some example elements of each layer for the readers quick reference

I am still not certain on the Cloud clients. Because they are different beasts. There is nothing like Client-as-a-service.

I am also wondering if I should put my picture as a new version of this picture or keep it as a separate file. (I tend to the latter).
