Dead individuals on Wikipedia[edit]

This picture of a dead girl (in the video, I am not sure if they are acting for the camera or not) is identifiable, and should not be displayed on Wikipedia due to ethics. There are always casualties in war, on both sides, and Wikipedia is not a battling/propaganda instrument. John Hyams (talk) 01:06, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Completely support picture[edit]

The world needs to be reminded of the true horror of Israeli cowardice and democide. Keep it up please. The article clearly states the UN estimates the Palestinian dead to be over 1400 to the 13 Israeli's- 4 killed by IDF friendly fire. Possibly the same nnumber killed in car crashes and influenza over a fortnight. Any marginally mentally competent person can easily see the huge imbalance in the casualty figures indicative of Israeli disproportionate and immoral aggression. I know 235 million Indoneisans would agree. And the comment it is faked or acting is offensive beyond words. Mr Hiyam, you should be ashamed of your comment as your IDF's democidal tendencies.Starstylers (talk) 16:36, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is one of the most biased statements I've ever read on Wikipedia. Regardless of individuals' attitudes towards a war, this is an encyclopedia and not grounds to lash out like that. On the other hand, if you seem so interested in making your attitudes about a war known on this encyclopedia then parhaps you should educate yourself. Perhaps seeing the pictures on the article of destroyed classrooms and the videos of citizens shown fleeing in terror from random Hamas rocket attacks would reveal to you just who the instigators are here. Regardless, this photo does violate Wikipedia's ethics and adds bias to the article. Therefore, I support its removal. --Matt0401 (talk) 06:09, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly the above user has a Zionist axe to grind, I wholeheartedly support keeping the picture and also welcome any photos of Israelis killed by Palestinian attacks. This is not a pro-zionist anti-zionist debate, The horrors of war affect both sides in a conflict, While there were many times more casualties among the palestinian population as compared the Israeli, the Israeli casualties received far more media attention. Wikipedia is not censored, and it is exactly the role of Wikipedia to pick up coverage when the mainstream media fails. 64.222.107.35 (talk) 16:28, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
