Description[edit]

The French description has the names of the "five-man drafting committee". Why doesn't the English version? From left to right, John Adams, Roger Sherman, Robert Livingston, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. Filé gumbo (talk) 10:16, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Quality[edit]

This is such an important picture. Could we find a higher quality version? —ScouterSig 18:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! Higher resolution! --Kvuo (talk) 06:15, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Color[edit]

Amandajm, who claims to have a background in art history, fails to realize that the colors in the higher resolution version are completely off. I used photoshop to restore the proper colors from other more accurate versions, and she reverted my edit based solely on the claim that she is knowledgeable and has any clue what she is doing.

Anyone who actually bothers searching for the image will see that my version more accuractely reflects the actual colors.

Amandajm is clearly deluded and believes that she is smart about anything concerning art, and goes through all my contributions, reverting them as she pleases. She managed to get me blocked for 24 hours on wikimedia commons after writing out several walls of text. But verbosity is no indication of intelligence. I will write out reasons there why my edits after her points were brought up aren't in violation of anything, and aren't "vandalism" as she claims.

Some examples of what the color should look like appear here:

If you look at the file history, look for my edit and you will see that my version is obviously better. Avindra talk / contribs 00:06, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Amanda also seemed to ignore consensus by another person one day before I made that edit. She constantly ignores, and just assumes that everything she does must be correct. Avindra talk / contribs 00:29, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Some evidence of her delusions from my talk page:
"If you continue to upload your changes over existent files, having been asked by an experienced art editor to desist, it will be considered vandalism."
She believes her unverifiable claims that she is an experienced art editor qualifies her to do as she pleases.
I offered to discuss the matters with her, and this was her response:
"This is not a matter in which you and I come to a concensus. It is a matter in which I am warning you that what you are doing is out of place, disruptive, unethical and arrogant. In other words, If you upload another of your non-authentic images over an authentic one, it will be seen as vandalism."
This one in particular shows that she is unwilling to cooperate and just wants to run things her way. Ironically, she is the one being extremely arrogant. Amandajm is the textbook example of a poisonous person, a very commonplace person in such open source projects as Wikipedia. Avindra talk / contribs 00:34, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
