What software was used?[edit]

Thank you, Paul2520! I am no artist and this is actually the first image I've made for Wikipedia (and the only one as of now), and I don't recommend you follow my steps, since I probably made it in the most inefficient way possible. But anyway, I made a raster image in GIMP by just copying the style of the other images in the game of life article, and then I used a free raster-to-vector converter website that I just searched on Google. I don't recall which one, unfortunately, and I had to try a few. The resulting .svg was very large so I found a free lossless .svg compressor website which brought it to what it is now.
