Deletion contesting[edit]

I thought that I did all I could in order to assert fair use of the image by adding that if a fair use picture could be found, this can be deleted. However as this is for an old department store chain and it is well past my time (I was fourteen when they were sold and at the time of course thought a concept like Wikipedia would never be created), I would be unable to take a picture myself and feel using a picture of the store with another chain's name on it would be unacceptable. I ask for a reconsideration of the deletion on the grounds that I have done all I could within the description to assert fair use. Nate • (chatter) 05:26, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I confirm that the image can be kept at this time as the building depicted no longer exists. Of course, if a free photograph is discovered, this decision won't hold. Stifle (talk) 08:50, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
