Katrina-Victor-Cindy?[edit]

Why Katrina's track is fused with Victor-Cindy's track, if they are considered to be different storms? And, if they are now considered to be the same storm, why the same wasn't made to the Victor-Cindy's track file and the two storm infos weren't merged into one in the 1997–98 Australian region cyclone season's article?
