Not accurate[edit]

There is another discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ireland#This map should not be called Ptolemys Ireland

Here is Ptolemys map File:Wenceslas Hollar - Ireland (State 2).jpg. Dunum and Domnainn in particular should definitely not be used as they are. It is not the same map at all though it says it is, and the reasons for switching it around and claiming it to be the same thing is not described. So I am inclined to request deletion and replace with the actual map. For instance, I count 10 settlements on Ptolemys map. On this map I count 11, and only four of them the same as Ptolemy, with no explanation. ~ R.T.G 11:05, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edited, that bit is definitely wrong, ~ R.T.G 21:09, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's not given how these things are placed as they do not match generally accepted maps and descriptions such as Ptolemy, but they are used on articles so I am not challenging that they are correct, but I am asking what the description of the difference is. I know that sounds odd, but it's not satisfactorily described. ~ R.T.G 21:14, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
