Useless[edit]
Without giving the parameters for this fit, this is really a very useless demonstration, which makes it very misleading, since a real LOESS fit will never look this good unless you happened to cherry-pick the parameters to make it fit the answer that was already known.
There is no such thing as "a" LOESS fit: there are multiple families of different fits based on different parameters. Choosing the parameter is critical! What parameters were done to make this fit? Geoffrey.landis (talk) 13:28, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
