I was wondering, since this image isn't exactly the best we could find, should it be replaced with a more recent/cleaner card? Shamess 14:20, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This could be dangerous[edit]

Hello,

I'm fairly sure that it is dangerous to put your NINO on the Internet/tell others, as it can contribute to identity fraud. Therefore, it would be best for someone to at least "blur" out the national insurance number, and remove any record of this image existing on Wikipedia. J

I believe the guy who owns this is actually in jail, or has died. So actually trying to use the card would be pointless. Shamess 08:20, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is incorrect, NI numbers are still usable even after you are deceased/are in jail. And according to WikiPedia, the guy's still alive. 82.19.143.23 11:55, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

US gvmnt[edit]

How is this in any way related to the US government? I mean, you know, it's a British NI card, with a British Citizen on it. I'd change it myself, but I'm a wikitard. -90.210.159.188 (talk) 21:17, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The legality[edit]

Is this even legal in the UK? Yes, he is in jail, blah, blah, convicted terrorist blah blah, but I'm pretty sure this would be illegal in the UK if anyone cared to object. This is, after all, the equivalent of living person's social security number. Failing that it's a poor example of data protection. Gytrash20:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
