The caption refers to the image as the main campus of Mayo Clinic. Actually the sign is in front of the Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester 13 blocks from the main campus. The term "Mayo Medical Center" was an attempt to solidify the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Methodist Hospital, and Saint Marys Hospital when the Mayo Clinic took over management and ownership of the two hospitals. The term is no longer in wide use or acceptance.

Not correct. This sign is just north of Methodist Hospital on the main downtown campus. I took the photo myself. As for "Mayo Medical Center" not being in common use, there are signs all over Rochester with exactly that on them. Jonathunder 15:51, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
