About the Mercantile Bank Building:

  • This seems to say it was built by Swan&Maclaren in 1929. It replaced a previous Mercantile bank, visible in this image
  • This tells us the building was demolished in 1990.
  • This site has a postcard with a view taken from the other end of the square, and here's one with the bank in winter but both look very similar car-wise. It dates it to the early 1930s. This rather blurry one is dated 1939.

Hope that is of some help identifying a correct license. Deadstar (talk) 14:30, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
