Some countries have possibly incorrect data[edit]

I noticed some countries like the UK supposedly produce 100,000,000,000 of natural gas, but there is no way that can seem plausible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.6.22.251 (talk) 06:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The source says the UK produced only 69.9 billion cubic meters in 2008. That's the only one that seems to be wrong. The other brown region southwest of Lithuania is an exclave of Russia, so that one is technically correct. TaintedMustard (talk) 07:13, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think that way of showing the data on this picture should be changed as well, because their are many countries that produce more than 10,000,000 tons of natural gas, and the colors dont really show the deiffrence between 11 mil and 99 mil. 81.207.89.19 (talk) 20:46, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Most importantly, I believe the presentation of data is not useful. Notice that the three counties in the largest category are also the countries with the largest land mass. Since data is not normalized by land area, the map does not communicate the distribution of natural gas reserves, and if the goal is to rank countries by NG production, a list would suffice. By combining the two, it implies uniform distribution of reserves. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.28.180.20 (talk) 00:02, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
