Silver stars are supposed to be on the left?[edit]

Looking at the table 5/16_inch_star, it seems that the colors for stars are reversed in this image. 17th award is probably supposed to be "bar + 3 silver + 1 gold" = 1 + 3*5 + 1. —andrybak (talk) 07:21, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

According to United States Navy Uniform Regulations Chapter 5 §5316 §§2.d and §§3.b.(2), the image is wrong. If I understand the regulation, the order is as you have described it and as {{ribbon devices}} renders it:
{{ribbon devices|number=16|type=award-star|ribbon=Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal ribbon.svg|width=106}}
Silver star
Silver star
Silver star
Gold star
The table at 5/16 inch star uses a mix of images like this one and {{ribbon devices}} templates. Seems to me that the table should use all images or all {{ribbon devices}} templates and not mix so that the ribbons all have the same look.
