how are you keepping the water in the buttom?

The caption is wrong[edit]

The caption says that pushing the floaters in through the bottom takes the same amount of energy as the floaters generate, but even a bit down in the article an author recognizes one of the roles that volume plays in the energy output.

There's no way that it takes more energy to push the floaters through, that's not why that fails, for one, it's multiple floaters applying a force at the same time while only one floater is being pushed in, two, several other floaters are also moved down by gravity, and three the time component where the total time that a floater is lifted in that design is greater than the time it took to enter.

I'm not saying it works, clearly the water spills, and even if it didn't, that's besides the point, it's just not the same amount of energy, and yeah dissipates. 2603:6000:A407:9C00:3158:6CCF:96D5:9F44 (talk) 11:38, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
