I remember reading that after the fall of Italy, not all roman provinces surrendered right away, I think a few prefectures continued to rule with the title of Roman Empire for a few years. For example: the Kingdom of Soissons was ruled by Syagrius, who took the title du Dux, until his death. Anyway, I remember seeing on a map by Thomas Lessman, a few remnants of the Western empire after it's fall, and it could be interesting to see them on the animation.
