Image creation notes[edit]

This SVG image was created as a replacement for the rather crude PNG raster image that was previously used in the RotorWay International article. That raster image was cropped from the RotorWay International Web site home page, and was of very low resolution, producing severe aliasing artifacts. To create the SVG image, the monochrome logo from a recent RotoWay service bulletin in PDF format was extracted, enlarged 400%, slightly blurred, then imported into Inkscape, where it was traced with Inkscape's built-in "potrace" algorithm. The text portions were replaced with TrueType text, DejaVu Sans face, slightly manipulated to match kerning and weight of the original, then reduced to paths. The blue area was filled with RGB #0000FF, which may not be entirely accurate, but is close enough for starters. Since this is a vector graphic, the exact shade of blue can easily be adjusted, if the color specification can be obtained from RotorWay International. — QuicksilverT @ 20:41, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
