Colorful Earth[edit]

In case anyone’s wondering – the “colorful earth” seen in the background of this image is Cook Strait between South Island (on the left) and North Island (on the right) of New Zealand. The picture was taken at an acute angle, giving a skewed perspective that distorts distances. Jaksmata 07:46, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it's a beautiful picture--HW-Barnstar PLS 21:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like the background is a painting and the ship and astronauts are photos edited into it, but it's real! It's so unreal, though, to be actually seeing this. coolness! Leemorrison 23:41, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
