Is there a reason we have both this and Image:Shadow Hand Bulb large Alpha.png? --Astronouth7303 (talk) 04:14, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure - the other image is transparent, and thus, it is of good use when one wants to use the image on a non-white background, or wants the image to appear in the article with a white background (as is done in several). It provides an alternative that doesn't have the fancy background. There's also the fact that transparent images are great for graphic designers and other re-users of images, which is one of the goals for the Commons after all - to provide educational media for free use by anyone (not just Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects). ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 03:12, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
