The image (File:Silketrykk.svg) depicting the screen and the ink is misleading. What is blue and white on the picture of the screen should be reversed. The blue pictured here is typically used to depict emulsion areas of the screen, closed areas where no ink goes through the screen. White is typically used to illustrate open areas of mesh where ink would go through. When I say "Typically" I mean in every other illustration of screenprinting ever made. On top of that mesh is often white and emulsion is often blue, but emulsion is never white and mesh is never blue.
