Re: violation of non-free content criteria.

Soundstream, Inc went out of business c1985 - the main article is wrong; Uploader was one of the last two Soundstream employees. At the time it was owned by Digital Recording Corporation which itself was shortly thereafter acquired by Optical Recording Corporation (Toronto, Canada) which was a subsidiary of Optical Recording Laboritories also in Toronto. Uploader believes that none of these entities exist any longer.

While it may be possible that a representative of the subject equipment (only 15 were ever manufactured) may still exist in some deep dark storage unit someplace, Uploader suspects that to be unlikely so use of this image is appropriate because there is no other way to acquire photographs of this historical equipment.Trappist the monk (talk) 03:50, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2k9 Aug 16: Added Non-free image data and Non-free image rationale templates. Corrected text above: 15 four-channel Digital Tape Recorders were built, not 18. Trappist the monk (talk) 17:48, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
