I find that the image background is too overwhelming. It is true that there should be a background to show translucencies, but the checkerboard is far too intrusive. -Mardus (talk) 09:57, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've added lattice steel pylons as the background to exemplify translucencies in Windows Aero Glass. lol. Afterwards I did worry about the background I'd set, and seriously considered replacing it with a better one (yes, with steel pylons, too). The reason for this consideration was that that steel pylon lattice blended in with Windows Vista's own UI examples far too intensely to be told apart at first sight. At the time I was specifically looking for a very contrasty image of steel pylons in order to exemplify the translucencies of Aero Glass. I suppose if the text below examples and on top of steel pylons weren't there, then at least visually it wouldn't have been that much of an issue. Then again, the captions are unavoidable.
