Star Series (formerly known as Fox) is a Middle Eastern pay television channel that was launched on 1 March 2011 as joint venture between News Corporation and Rotana Media Services.[1]

Background[edit]

The channel began broadcasting in 2011 on-screen as simply Fox as replacement for Fox Series. The channel continues to broadcast from cable and satellite.

On 4 November 2015, the channel started to broadcast exclusively in HD and became encrypted due to its move to satellite television provider beIN.[2]

On 1 March 2024, Fox was rebranded as Star Series, which adopted the name of one of multiplex Star Premium channels in Latin America that originally was used in 2021.[3]
