This is intended to be a complete list of the properties and districts on the National Register of Historic Places in the Jackson County portions of Kansas City, Missouri, United States, outside downtown. Downtown Kansas City is defined as being roughly bounded by the Missouri River to the north, 31st Street to the south, Troost Avenue to the east, and State Line Road to the west. The locations of National Register properties and districts may be seen in an online map.

There are 347 properties and districts listed on the National Register in Kansas City. The Jackson County portions outside downtown includes 182 of these properties and districts; the city's remaining properties and districts are listed elsewhere. One historic district overlaps both the downtown area and the area outside downtown.
