Charlotte's Web is a children's book by acclaimed American author E. B. White, first published in 1952, it tells the story of a barn spider named Charlotte and her friendship with a pig named Wilbur. It was illustrated by Garth Williams.

This book is about a girl, called Fern Arable, who is an ordinary farm girl. One day, her father’s sow gave birth to some piglets, Fern's father discovered one of them was a runt and decided to kill it. However, Fern wanted to let it live. Therefore her father had no choice but to give it to Fern as a pet, and she named the runt Wilbur.(more...)

The Noughts & Crosses series by Malorie Blackman is a sequence of three young adult, science fiction, novels and a novella set in a fictional, racist and dystopia world. Noughts & Crosses series is set in a world where the people with slightly darker skin colour (Crosses) are dominant over the lighter skin coloured people (noughts). The books' world is quite similar to early 21st century Britain but racism and prejudice are much more overt. The series tells the story of several characters from two interlinked families with very different positions in society. (More)
