Patrick Stirling's 4-2-2 G Class "Single" No. 544 with a rake of GNR six-wheeled coaches. This locomotive features a dome boiler, a later modification added by H.A. Ivatt.

Rather a nice period image of a Stirling Single in use at the turn of the 20th century. It's quite unusual to see a contemporary photograph of one with its original rake of 6-wheeled teak coaches. Bob talk 15:15, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
