The list of named tropical cyclones includes all officially named tropical cyclones. This includes Atlantic hurricane and Northeastern Pacific hurricane names from 1950 to 2007, Northwestern Pacific Typhoon names from 1945 to 2007, and North Indian cyclone names from 2004 to 2007. In the southern hemisphere this includes Southwest Indian Ocean names from 1960 to 2007, Australian cyclone names from 1963 to 2007 and South Pacific names from 1984 to 2007. It also lists Philippine names for typhoons from 1963 to 2007, though these are unofficial.

The names most used in all basins are Alice, Gloria and Nancy, each having been used to name 19 tropical cyclones worldwide. The names used in the most basins are Barbara, Ella, Frank, Gloria, Hilda, Karen and Kate, all having been used to name tropical cyclones in 5 different basins. Arlene has been used to name 9 Atlantic storms, Carlotta, Estelle and Fernanda have each been used to name 9 East Pacific storms, and Faye has been used to name 16 West Pacific storms. The shortest names used are "Ed", "Io", "Jo" and "Li".
