    • @Kevon kevono: I'd suggest you nominate an article that's been promoted to Good Article (GA-Class). This one is only rated as a Start-Class, and normally we've required at least B-Class as noted in the directions above and we've preferred GA-Class or better to run as the selected article. I wouldn't say "too poor", but yes the article needs work. I would say put some polish on it, and nominate it in a couple of months after the polish has been applied and some 3rd parties have reviewed the article. Dave (talk) 18:44, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

    • Support - Although we just had a California article in January, I appreciate the suggestion of an article for a change. However, I would not suggest any more California articles for selected article for the rest of the year, so other states can have a chance. Dough4872 01:20, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
    • On second thought, this article looks in poor shape considering its a 146 mile route, the lead and route description are awfully short and there's some unsourced information. Therefore, I must oppose this selection and will pick a better quality article from another state. Dough4872 01:23, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
