R. L. Foster (December 19, 1919 – December 24, 2005) was an American politician. He served as a Democratic member for the 6-2 district of the Georgia House of Representatives.[1]

Life and career[edit]

Foster was born in Whitfield County, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia and served in the United States Air Force during World War II.[1]

In 1973, Foster was elected to represent the 6-2 district of the Georgia House of Representatives. He served until 1983, when he was succeeded by Phil Foster.[3]

Foster died in December 2005,[4] at the age of 86.
