Image copyright problem with Image:RQR.GIF[edit]

The image Image:RQR.GIF is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Suggestions for improvement[edit]

This article has a lot of great information, but I believe it could be improved. Some suggestions include:

  • references (there are currently no in-text references at all)
  • a list of commanding officers of the battalion, perhaps
  • some more recent pictures (if any are available that do not breach copyright)
  • more information on the current structure of the battalion if possible

I have made some changes, mainly minor formating, but not being from the unit myself I do not have much more than a general idea. Perhaps a current '9' person could help, or if you've got some of the books listed on the site, please feel free to add in some citations as it would make the site more credible.

Formally of Formerly?[edit]

Question: is the line infantry combat role of the battalion Formally or Formerly. The latter would indicate that it no longer serves that function, whereas the Former means it is used in formal circumstances. Does anyone know which it is? IronBattalion (talk) 08:25, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, "formerly" would be my assessment as it is no longer performing the role. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 08:40, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, and you've already edited it, so... Thanks IronBattalion (talk) 20:00, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
