As you can see by this article:

The SUN SPARC was introduced in mid-1987. I was fired from Definicon as they were working on both SPARC based and 29K based coprocessor boards. After being fired, I joined Dr Trevor Marshall and Jim Potter to help found a company that was incorporated as YARC Systems in January, 1988. YARC produced the AMD 29K development system board.

Development of the AMD 29K processor line ended in 1992 with the launch of the K5 design project.

This article really needs a rewrite & cleanup, but I know next to nothing about the architecture so I don't feel that I'm competent to do it. It starts out OK, but then the section on the successor families drops in quality very quickly. This is marked by the increase in consistently repeated spelling mistakes - "preforming" for "performing", "microcontroler" for "microcontroller" and so on. I shall ignore & leave the unhelpful comment below. Liam Proven 13:22, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

wow this page isnt biased much is it now/

Just wanna point out that the vast majority of content on this page seems to be a slap chopped version of a CPU Shack article on the 29k. http://www.cpushack.com/Am29k.html Zixaphir (talk) 10:43, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Or vice versa. I wrote this article in 2004, before the CPU Shack existed. I did not use it as a reference. Maury Markowitz (talk) 19:31, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
