Name[edit]

Should this article not be called Barksdale Garbee then, rather than Bdale? I mean, is his name actually Bdale? I've never really heard of anything with the letters b and d next to each other like that, so it just seems wonky to me. 74.13.45.175 05:08, 17 September 2007 (UTC) ` Also, how is it pronounced? I think it is probably a sensitive issue. Ah, A Boy named Barksdale. Must have been a tough childhood. I'll give him a bark about putting some IPA on it. Jidanni (talk) 19:05, 11 May 2009 (UTC).[reply]

My full name is Alfred Dickinson Barksdale Garbee II, and I was called Barksdale during my youth... but I've been Bdale since the fall of 1982 and only a very few people in my family still call me Barksdale. I don't understand offhand how to create an IPA equivalent, but the way I pronounce Bdale is indeed like "Bee-Dale". BdaleGarbee (talk) 21:48, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
